What John Bidwell Parlor and other local organizations are doing to keep Bidwell Mansion open
During a meeting at the Bidwell Mansion on November 10, 2011, John Bidwell Parlor No. 21 joined members from the Bidwell Mansion Association, Annie K. Bidwell Parlor No. 168, N.D.G.W., Far West Heritage Association, Butte County Economic Development Corporation, Chico Women's Club, Las Senoras, Chico Heritage Association and Butte County Historical Society to form a steering committee charged with finding a solution to keep Bidwell Mansion operating and open to the public, with representatives from the State Parks and state Sen. Doug LaMalfa's office taking advisory positions.

After meeting with several community groups focused on local historic preservation, John Bidwell Parlor No. 21, N.S.G.W. joined the ad hoc steering committee, now known as the Bidwell Mansion Community Project.
